Brooke Young, MS, is currently coordinator of services for students with autism for the Shawnee County Special Education Cooperative and the Topeka, Kansas, public schools. She previously held positions teaching children and youth with autism. Her research interests are instructional techniques for students with autism.;
Richard Simpson, EdD, is a professor of special education and school psychology at the University of Kansas. He also is co-director of the combined autism/behavior doctoral training program and co-director of the master's autism program at the University of Kansas. Dr. Simpson is involved in a variety of research activities, including management of children with autism.
