Gary Gates is a senior research fellow at the Williams Institute, and coauthor of The Gay and Lesbian Atlas. His doctoral dissertation featured the first significant research study of the demography of the gay and lesbian population using US Census data.;
Holning Lau is the 2005 Public Policy Fellow at UCLA. He received his J.D. from the University of Chicago and his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the Williams Institute, he served as consultant on sexual orientation law to the Hong Kong Human Rights Monitor.;
R. Bradley Sears is the executive director of The Williams Institute on Sexual Orientation and Public Policy, UCLA School of Law. A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Law School, Sears regularly publishes scholarly articles on the issues of gay law and HIV disease.;
